Certainly not the most beautiful item I've ever made, but it's my first piece of weaving, and will serve as an instructive and inspirational item for future projects!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, maybe it's because I'm a weaver that I see some lovely potential in your first sample of weaving. Well done!
I love those kinds of projects that serve as inspiration/instruction, and which celebrate process and learning. I think it looks gorgeous, too.
