Grown on my windowsill.
These are small, mild chilli peppers made famous by the town of
Padrón in Galicia, Spain. Often served in tapas bars they are fried in garlic, then sprinkled with salt and eaten whole. One out of every 20 or so is hot, although in my case I think I may have left them to grow a little bit too big as most of them were quite zingy!
Definitely a success, they are on the list for next year!

I am jealous! Our pepper plant hasn't produced a single pod this year.
Sorry to hear that! Any idea why not? Mine are out of control if I'm honest - we can't see out of the window they have grown so tall!

I've been growing peppers in the green house but the weather is so bad they won't ripen. I'm sure we can use them for something...
In Italy we call them "friggitelli" and we fry them in olive or soybean oil. Try them cooked in pieces with garlic, fresh red tomatoes in pieces and salt: a great seasoning for spaghetti!!!
