High rise adventures

My work takes me to some very interesting places. A few weeks ago I found myself at the top of one of the towers of the Humber Bridge near Hull. It was rather a grey day but the views were still rather fabulous.

What do you do?
As I have no head for heights and am a coward about such things..I'm glad to share your view as there is no way I'd see that in person...lol

Even after much vodka and with the promise of Cameron Diaz giving away cake at the top, there is nooooooooooo way anybody could persuade me to get up there.

@val I write technical articles about bridge design, construction and management. Most of the time I'm desk-bound but occasionally I venture out on site. Although high, this ascent was pretty straightforward as it was made in an enclosed, permanent lift, and the tower top is wide, stable and protected on both sides by safety fencing. Pretty tame compared to some of the visits I've made in my career!

That sounds like a fascinating job, although I must confess as a person who once balked at getting on an escalator I think I wouldn't make it.. lol
