A weekend in the Cotswolds provided super weather, some fabulous meals, wondrous real ales (a pub with loyalty cards ffs!) stunning walks and views, roaring fires, great company, clear skies that showed us millions of stars, great bread even if it was outrageously expensive and finally...my dream boots!

the world is chainging: good weather in Britain, bad weather and cold in Italy... Lucky you! (also for the wondrous ales...)
@ reuss: They were purchased in a small shop in Nailsworth. Funnily enough the same boots (although the short version) of a pair I saw in a shop window in Bath when I was there on my birthday before christmas. It was evening and the shop was closed - I decided to go back the next day but after a few ales forgot all about it. So when I saw these, I knew we were meant to be together....!
@ines - yes I've just come back from three days in northern Italy, where it was cold and snowy!
